Mid-Morning Organic Green Tea or Earl Grey Lavender

- Relieve tension
Have green tea between meals, preferably two hours before eating maximises your nutrient intake. The antioxidant catechins in green tea aid digestion and the absorption of iron.
It is also loaded with antioxidants which studies have shown can kill bacteria and inhibit viruses like the influenza virus, potentially lowering your risk of infections.
Lavender has been used for centuries as headache remedy, and it is also popular in aromatherapy as a tension reliever. Even today, neck pillows stuffed with lavender are still popular. It may not have as much as a kick as coffee, but it does contain enough caffeine to give you a nice little late morning boost without making you jittery.
And unlike the dehydrating properties of coffee, tea helps you stay hydrated and maintains the body’s fluid balance due to its high potassium content.
Afternoon HoneyBush (Rooibos Tea) or Southern Mint
- Rich in minerals
- Mentally Unwind
It is often when we get to mid-afternoon our bodies start to lag, often due to the food we have eaten and the stress we are under. Rooibos Tea is a great tea to help aid digestion, especially stomach cramps or other digestive issues.
Furthermore, it’s a tea rich in minerals and keeps the body healthy and refreshed. It contains calcium, iron, potassium, copper, fluoride, manganese, magnesium and zinc.
Alternatively Southern Mint is a natural sedative and antispasmodic nature of menthol makes it very good at relieving mental stress. It’s anti-inflammatory nature can reduce blood pressure and body temperature, allowing you to unwind and relax, letting your cares melt away. This is part of the reason why peppermint oil is so popular in aromatherapy and the effects from peppermint tea are very similar.

- Relieve tension
Chamomile Tea is the perfect evening drink. It contains a host of wonderful benefits for ailments such as stomach upset, tension, mouth ulcers and skin aggravations.
